We found this sign on the front door of a Chamber of Commerce organization! Yes, you heard right: An organization who's call is to expand business and to encourage participation in an organization who's call is to expand business. Oh sure, they also have some political meanderings, but supposedly that is all on behalf of the call to expand business. It was even brought to their attention how ridiculous this sign is to be on the front door of such an organization and we got an argument about its validity.
Makes us wonder. . . how many opportunities are lost to get new members, to talk about member services and benefits of membership. It has been our experience that the Chamber is always on the hunt for new and renewing members.
We had such a great laugh about this ridiculous sign and even more on their justification for installing and maintaining it. What's wrong with this picture?
Besides, any sales person worth her salt laughs at those signs too. . .
