About Dr. Burton
Dr. Burton graduated from Seaside High School, Seaside, CA in 1972. She earned her B.A. in biology from Yale University in 1976, and received her D.D.S. from New York University in 1980.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Burton has been providing high-quality dental care with a gentle touch. She has practiced at the Letterman Army Medical Center for the Department of Defense and she was a clinical professor at Beth Israel Hospital and with the Children’s Aid Society in New York City.

Dr. Burton opened Regency Dental in 1995. She completed the Straight Wire Institute for orthodontic certification and the University of Phoenix Business Academy. She continues to attend various seminars and classes to stay informed and keep up to date on all the latest treatment techniques. One of her goals is to change people’s perception of dentistry by providing options to make dental care non-threatening and as pain-free as possible.

Dr. Burton is very interested in the community and donates time and resources to school children and children’s sports teams in Vacaville, as well as participating in the Smiles For Life foundation charity every year for the last 10 years. She and her team have helped raise $4 million to help children’s charities across North America.

Steve has lived in Solano County for over thirty years with his wife Becky and two sons, Kyle and Evan. He attended the University of California at Berkeley for his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and went on to attend Golden Gate University in San Francisco for an MBA, concentration in Logistics. During the first twenty years of his career, he worked in distribution and production management, concentrating in the last twelve years on Solano County marketing and business development.

Knotty Hair Salon is located in historical Suisun City. We are directly across from the beautiful waterfront. In 1927, this building was home to the Bank of Suisun. In 2009, Justin and Emily Giangrasso (owners) transformed this charming old building into a lovely salon with a friendly atmosphere.

Clients are now able to enjoy a relaxing shampoo in the chandelier adorned “Lather Room." At one time this room was the vault of the old bank. Still standing are the vault doors with all of their character and interest. Knotty Hair Salon has experienced stylists who cater to all. We offer a variety of services and specialize in many different areas. We highly recommend scheduling your appointment in advance, but walk-ins are always welcome!

Emily is the owner of Knotty Hair Salon as well as a stylist. She started cutting hair at the age of 7…Barbie and Cabbage Patch Kids, of course. She continued to have a passion for the beauty business in to high school, although you would never know that if you saw her yearbook pictures. She
finally attained her cosmetology license in 1996 soon after high school graduation.

Emily is certified with Joico, Tigi, Paul Mitchell, Pureology and Redken. She is also a “Curly Hair Expert" with Ouidad and trained under Yosh. Her goal over the next year is to advance her make-up career and specialize in making brides beautiful.
