I am grateful beyond words to know and work with Wendy VanHatten, owner of VanHatten Writing Services and an author herself. Though I am grateful beyond words, I'm going to give it a good shot with words because I want to let everyone who cares to read this to benefit.
Slightly more than a month from now, it will have been one year since I published with Wendy's help a book titled, Commercial Truck Success. Since the publication, so many interesting things have come about that I am very excited and pleased to have finally completed the task and have written the book. It is reaching many all across the country and giving them a different perspective about how retail auto dealerships deal with the foreign idea of outside sales and of commercial upfitted (trucks with bodies on them) trucks.
Publishing the book was fun. It's fun to be on Amazon.com, which is a company I admire very much. It's fun to get some buzz going. It's fun to get the accolades of a few and gain respect from many who may have never known me. So, there are many benefits that I call fun surrounding publishing a book.
One of the more important things is that now there are many who consider me an expert in that field. It's interesting to me how that happens. Nothing changed about my knowledge really except the book became a real thing to hold in ones hand and read. And, of course, I like that aspect.
But, as all that is wonderful and I'm grateful for it, I am much more grateful for the things that are harder to see or quantify and that is what I want to address more here and now.
To say it succinctly, Wendy has helped me to become a better writer.
I've always seen myself as a writer and have always wanted that in my life and over the years have practiced it in spurts with some improvement. Yet, in the process of actually writing this book, going through edits and sessions with Wendy and her encouragement and guidance, I have become many levels higher a better writer than before the book began. I am in sheer joy about this progress.
Now as I write more and am now writing the follow up to the published book, I see how much my writing has improved. Yes, I certainly have practiced. I write a Daily Inspirations and have done this for the last three years every single day. Yes, I write small pieces and lots of emails. Yet, I look at what Wendy has done in working with her to help me be more and better in my writing and it is this I applaud, for it is this that is the change maker, or the catalyst to my desire to produce. She didn't produce, but she certainly aided me in doing so and that inspiration continues now a year after the publication.
I say to you who have perhaps attracted this piece to read, that Wendy can help you write your story, your book, your legacy. She can help you to be a better writer, and she can help you to get it published and on Amazon.com too. Whatever she charges in the way of fees are not nearly enough for the solid value you will receive. I can assure you of that.
If you want to become a better writer, or to publish that book you've been thinking about for a long time, now is the time to pick up the phone and call Wendy at 707-685-9468 and visit her website at www.vhwritingservices.com. You too may become a RAVING FAN!
