S.O.A.P. - Save Our Activities Programs - The Matt Garcia Foundation

Now Under the Leadership of The Matt Garcia Foundation
S.O.A.P. - Save. Our. Activities. Programs.

Attention concerned citizens of Fairfield!
As you all may know, the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School district has come upon hard times. Recent budget cuts have closed schools and severely limited valuable resources for our youth. Included in these cuts are secondary education stipends that fund athletic and co-curricular programs in middle school and high school. These are vital activities that provide a well-rounded high school experience for our youth, and they must be preserved.

In 2010, an effort began to raise funds solely to save the athletics programs in our high schools in Fairfield. This was spearheaded by a group of parents who called themselves S.O.A.P (Save. Our. Athletics. Programs). This original S.O.A.P. successfully raised over $100,000 for our sports programs. However, by 2011 the impact of S.O.A.P had diminished and no longer had the same level of support from the community.

The newly constructed S.O.A.P is now a fundraising committee under the leadership of the Matt Garcia Foundation. It has expanded its vision to encompass the many influences that shape the positive educational experiences of your youth.

Therefore Save. Our. Athletics, Programs has become Save. Our. Activities. Programs. As a subcommittee of The Matt Garcia Foundation, the S.O.A.P Advisory Board is headed up by a foundation board member, Dwight Lundy, and consists of five youth representatives: Brittany Chudzinski, Leilani Reyes, Eric Brimer, Cristian Cobos, and Darius Levan.

The Matt Garcia Foundation will provide valuable direction and accountability to the group. The Foundation’s own vision to support youth, stop crime, and strengthen our community is a perfect fit for S.O.A.P.’s mission of youth empowerment. We are here to ensure our Fairfield youth are provided with the best high school experience possible. These programs are crucial – please join us in helping to save them. Thank you!

Safeside Security Burglar Alarms

In the past, security systems were regarded as luxuries only the rich would need or could afford. But today, there is a security system for any household, business and budget. Security systems are as much of a necessity of modern life as computers, dishwashers and microwaves. With everyone's busy lifestyles, there is often just no one to keep a watchful eye out and local police just can't be everywhere all at once.

The good news is today's Security Systems are simply smarter, more user-friendly, and more affordable than ever before. Safe Side Security offers a hybrid of hardwired and wireless system components to suit your needs today and tomorrow. Protecting your property from burglary, our systems can do it all with ease 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our advanced security systems are engineered to be so smart they're actually easier to use; with your choice of keypads, remote key fobs, and detectors for a complete user friendly system.

Safe Side Security, Inc. was established in Davis, California in 1983. For the past 30 years, we have provided design, installation, monitoring, servicing and inspections of security and fire alarm systems. We are the "local" company serving Yolo, Sacramento, Placer, Solano Counties and the surrounding areas. As active members in the Sacramento Area Alarm Association and the California Alarm Association, we continue to work with our fire departments and law enforcement agencies on local and national industry issues.

Our success is a result of the thousands of satisfied customers who use our services daily, and are pleased with the results. We take pride in providing each customer with a professionally installed, user-friendly system tailored to fit their needs. Service is a high priority, with technicians on call 24 hours a day. Our systems are monitored by U.L. central station Total Monitoring Services, Inc., located in Sacramento, California. In March of 2008, Safe Side Security became a Certified U.L. fire alarm company.

End 2 End Painting Special

$300 Off Any job over $1000

About End 2 End Painting

I am Michael Hart owner of End To End Painting. A low-cost paint job will look fine for a short period - but it will be obvious within months that you didn’t get quality work or materials. Cover these points with each painter you interview – you’ll soon have a good idea who will provide the work you’re after.

Prep Work Is Critical
The single most important part of a quality paint job. Most homes require more prep time than painting time. A careful, methodical and systematic approach will maximize the performance benefits of high quality materials. Will they pressure wash to clean dirt, or also to remove paint (spray tip and technique matter)? Use backer rod for large gaps (good), or just fill with caulk (bad)? Use sharp scrapers or dull putty knives to remove paint? Attention to detail is essential to the final result. Most homeowners won’t know about shortcuts taken with tedious prep work until well after their check has been cashed.

Material Quality
Every paint manufacturer makes a range of products – from very high quality to very low price. A painter should be able to explain which product he uses, where it falls in the product line and just what the difference is beyond “it’s a better quality product”. This is true for primer and caulk as well. Cheap caulk dries out and pulls loose, cheap primer is watery because it has fewer solids. Understand what you’re paying for and verify that is what you get.

Included Or Not?
Materials are often not included. This is a huge unknown for the homeowner – no incentive for the painter to eliminate waste or estimate paint quantities accurately. A low materials estimate makes the bid look better; accurate materials estimates do not. Proposals that include the cost of materials bet on the painters' expertise and give the homeowner a better view of their final cost.

My Company supplies the highest of standards while giving you the customer an affordable price. End 2 End hopes to earn your business.

We are on time. You can rely on our commitment to be punctual and professional in all our dealings with you. Our clients can be confident that their project will be done right and in a timely manner.
